The Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP) Mentoring Program is now open to all planning students who express an interest in working with a Fellow and participating in this program.

The FAICP Mentoring Program is designed for members of the AICP College of Fellows to share their knowledge, insight and experience with planning students. Working with a Fellow will not only assist you with your course of study, but also help you as you plan to start a career in the planning profession. As a protégés, you should be eager to learn from and open to working with a mentor in various ways, such as: talking about planning ideas and the planning profession, listening to the experiences and advice that your mentor is willing to share, discussing your course work, etc.

There are over fifty Fellows eagerly waiting to mentor student protégés. Matches between mentors and protégés will be based on both individual's interests and geographic proximity. Once matched, mentors and protégés will be free to make decisions of the mechanics of their mentoring relationship, including the frequency of the meetings and forms of communication.

Feel free to contact Megan Valdiserri, AICP Project Coordinator , with any questions that you may have at:
      (202) 872-0611 and mvaldiserri@...
