      Job Description

      Western Pacific housing is recruiting for the position of "Intern" for
      their Land Acquisition and Development Department. There is currently
      one part time position available. This is an opportunity to learn the
      real estate development business along with land planning, market
      analysis and architectural design, etc.

      Examples of Job duties:
      1. Conduct land and market research and gather information to be put
      into a data base management system for the department. Including
      researching the following information:
      a. Sales and Marketing information for new homes and re-sales
      b. Gather city, county, public agency and redevelopment information
      c. Research statistical information such as
      d. Vacant land survey and aerial photograph analysis
      e. Research general plans, specific plans, redevelopment plans, zoning
      and other public agency information
      f. Land & Title information
      2. Preparation of Financial analysis for special projects
      3. Assist in the creation of a database and data base management system
      4. Meet with public officials
      5. Analyze information and prepare reports, graphs, charts and displays
      6. Present information and reports to the head of the department for review.
      7. Ability to prepare clear concise written reports and studies
      8. Compile technical and financial data and prepare written reports with
      recommendations
      9. Manage multiple projects concurrently
      10. Communicate effectively in written and oral form

      Education and experience:
      1. Preferably an undergraduate degree or main course work or education
      in urban planning, real estate, marketing or business.
      2. Possession of a valid California Drivers License
      3. Experience in using Microsoft software including Excel, and Word
