      Description
Since the year 2000, downtowns across North America have witnessed an explosion in residential high-rise construction. Inspiring, dull, and horrifying by turns, these new towers reflect a confluence of trends in multiple city building professions – with city planning often playing a central role. This talk will explore how half of a century of trial, error, and professional fashion are reshaping skylines and streetscapes
from Miami to Vancouver to St. Louis.
