      Job Description:
      SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Client Application Project Manager,
      the Programmer Analyst is responsible for maintenance,
      enhancement, support and documentation of THC's multiple MS Access 2000 /
      SQL Server 2000 applications. The incumbent will
      ensure accurate and timely implementation of all application modifications
      and enhancements and will create application
      documentation.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
      •                 Work with Project Manager, users and outside consultant to help define
      application requirements and to create specifications
      •                 Make enhancements to existing Access 2000 /SQL Server 2000 applications
      •                 Create and modify Access objects including queries, forms and reports
      •                 Create and modify SQL Server 2000 stored procedures
      •                 Create and modify Visual Basic code
      •                 Effectively communicate status of requests and enhancements to users and
      Project Manager
      •                 Provide quality assurance by testing all changes thoroughly prior to
      migration to production environment
      •                 Serve as resource for resolution of application issues and user questions
      •                 Develop and update application User Guide and Administrator Guide
      documents
      •                 Identify and propose areas of improvement within existing applications
      •                 Provide technical assistance and technical training to other departments
      as required
      •                 Create code that meets design specifications, follows standards, is easy
      to maintain and is reasonably free from defects
      •                 Test and peer review code for technical accuracy, standards, and
      functional compliance to the design

      REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
      •                 BS/BA degree in related or applicable field, or equivalent work experience
      •                 2+ years programming experience in software design and product development
      on Windows platforms using MS Access and Visual
      Basic preferred.
      •                 2+ years preferred work experience with object-oriented analysis and
      design (OOAD)
      •                 2+ years preferred work experience with SQL Server 2000, Transact-SQL, and
      stored procedures
      •                 Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
      •                 Ability to meet weekly deadlines and manage multiple projects
      •                 Ability to work independently
      •                 Ability to learn new software applications
      •                 Ability to read, interpret and apply rules, regulations and statutory
      requirements; ability to effectively present information and respond to
      questions from groups of managers, and clients and to communicate highly
      technical information to non-technical end users;
      •                 Math skills sufficient to work with fractions and decimals; ability to
      compute ratio, and percent.
      •                 Strong and detail oriented organizational skills and ability to manage
      multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
      •                 Ability to walk a distance of up to 1.5 miles between work sites
      •                 Non Profit experience strongly preferred
