BATA PROGRAM COORDINATOR: Support staff for the management and operation of the Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) toll bridge operations program. Responsibilities include: developing and administering the Caltrans and BATA toll bridge operations and capital budgets; managing contracts for toll collection system maintenance and improvements; traffic and operations data analysis and reporting; and performing toll bridge operations research and analysis. This position closes at 5:00 p.m., on Monday, July 10, 2006.
SENIOR PLANNER/ANALYST: Act as project staff lead for the development and implementation of the Freeway Performance Initiative. The primary goal of this initiative is to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to guide decisions for the next generation of freeway investments in the Bay Area. The work will focus on detailed multi-modal reviews of traffic operations on the major freeway corridors in the region, including arterials and transit systems that parallel the freeway. Products to be developed include accurate documentation of existing traffic problems, high level conceptual strategies for efficient management of each corridor, and prioritized lists of short-term and long-term candidate projects to maximize performance and safety of each corridor. This position closes at 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 20, 2006
SENIOR LINUX/WINDOWS Systems Administrator: Responsible for providing operating system and related support for the Red Hat Linux and Windows 2000/2003 MTC server environments, supervising staff responsible for all desktop system support and configurations including the Novell based servers. This position entails both hands-on IT assignments requiring technical expertise, and supervisory, administrative and management skills necessary to effectively implement desktop and systems administration strategies to support the agency’s technology functions. This position will also oversee MTC’s IT network infrastructure operations and planning. This position closes at 5:00 p.m., on Friday, July 21, 2006
