      Job Description:
      Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) is a community-based economic
      development organization which, for over 30 years, has
      worked to support small businesses and increase assets among San Francisco's
      low income communities. MEDA serves low-income
      clients, focusing on the Latino and/or Spanish-speaking community. In
      accomplishing its mission, MEDA is involved in several distinct yet related
      activities: business technical assistance, homebuyer education and
      counseling, and land use planning and policy. The Homeownership Program's
      mission is to increase community sustainability through asset creation,
      which includes but is not limited to home purchasing. The program assists
      low- and moderate- income San Francisco households, focusing predominantly
      on the Latino community, to successfully
      navigate the home buying process and make strong financial decisions that
      will benefit them in the long-term. The Homeownership Program Manager will
      serve as the lead staff person managing MEDA¡¦s Homeownership Program.
      Specific tasks are detailed below.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Tasks
      * Program development and implementation, including evaluation, reporting
      and analysis.
      * Developing, monitoring and facilitating the completion of program work
      plans.
      * Managing and guiding 4 program staff, including weekly program meetings,
      staff evaluations, and providing on-going training and support.
      * Promoting MEDA¡¦s work in public forums, including fundraising events,
      government hearings and conferences.
      * Fostering outside collaborations, including staffing of the San Francisco
      Affordable Homeownership Steering Committee.
      * Managing the annual SF Homeownership Fair.
      * Contribute to asset creation policy analysis and development activities at
      the neighborhood, citywide, and regional levels.

      Secondary Tasks
      * Contributing to fundraising activities for the Homeownership Program, as
      needed.
      * Contributing to internal special projects, as needed.
      * Carrying out essential program functions, such as workshops and
      counseling, as needed.

      QUALIFICATIONS:
      * Experience in the affordable housing, mortgage lending and housing
      counseling field, preferred.
      * Minimum of Bachelors Degree required.
      * Excellent verbal communication, presentation and writing skills.
      * Spanish fluency, preferred.
      * Experience in the affordable housing, mortgage lending and housing
      counseling field, preferred.
      * Familiarity with San Francisco's political environment, preferred.
      * Strong interpersonal skills required.
      * 2 years of previous staff and/or program management experience required.
      * Experience working with diverse populations.
