      Strategic Site Planner:

      Our continued growth at Genentech has created an opportunity for a Strategic
      Site Planner in our South San Francisco headquarters. Please take this

      Genentech currently has five campuses encompassing over 400 acres in south
      San Francisco - CA, Vacaville - CA, Oceanside - CA, Hillsboro - OR, and
      Porrino - Spain. The Strategic Site Planner will be located in SSF, and will
      be assigned to functions related to site planning for Genentech's campuses.
      Responsibilities will include development of site master plans, alternative
      site analysis, building specific site and massing studies, parking
      allocation and site infrastructure planning. The Planner will also measure
      and track parking utilization. The candidate will manage their relationships
      with Genentech internal customers (HR, Corp. Relations, and others) and
      partners (security, EHS and others) for comprehensive amenities planning,
      identifying parking and infrastructure needs and projects for the Capital
      Long Range Plan which includes leading the development of Feasibility
      Studies, comparative analysis of alternate solutions, risk analyses, project
      approval presentations to Management and working with Project Management
      through Conceptual Design to assure program and design consistency with
      corporate needs. This position reports to the Principal Site Planner in the
      strategic facilities planning group, which also has Corporate Facilities
      Planning, space management and Real Estate responsibilities.

      Requirements:
      A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or
      equivalent is required with a Master's degree preferred. The candidate must
      have 8-10 years of experience in the architectural/engineering industry with
      expertise in site planning. An exceptionally high degree of proven
      interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate with all levels
      of the corporation and represent Genentech to outside consultants is
      required. Proven problem solving and analytical skills are essential. The
      candidate must be conscientious and self-motivated and must work well within
      a collaborative environment. He/she must have a high level of computer
      skills including Excel, Word and Power point and familiarity with AutoCAD
      software.

      well within a collaborative environment and must be conscientious and
      self-motivated. He/she must have strong computer skills including Excel,
      Word and PowerPoint.
