Hello Green Building and Affordable Housing Stakeholders,

Global Green USA presents "Creating Green Homes - Workshop of Affordable Housing Design and Construction "

Affordable housing developers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders will learn how to save money on operations and maintenance, create healthier living environments, and conserve resources.

Join Global Green USA and the Housing Action Coalition of Santa Clara County, the Home Builders Association of Northern California, the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California, and the City of San Jose for a workshop that provides vital information on the ways to "green" affordable housing projects - site design, water and energy efficiency, building materials selection, and operations.

Topics include cost-effective green building practices and components and innovative financial strategies.  Several local case studies of green affordable housing projects will also be discussed.

      September 17, 2002 1 - 5pm

City of San Jose Department of Housing

      4 N. Second Street, Suite 1350

Public parking is available in a garage with an entrance off of 3rd Street.  For those interested in taking public transportation, the building is located between the St. James and Santa Clara Light Rail stops.

$25 payable at the door - cash or check only

RSVP to Denise Lofman by email at dlofman@... or by phone at 310.394.7700 x. 107 by September 16.

A workshop invitation with registration information and workshop agenda are attached.  Note, the registration date has been extended.

      Hope to see you there.
