      The 11th Hour Project is a Palo Alto-based nonprofit organization that works
      to popularize high-level, high-quality information about solutions to global
      warming. We work to change public perceptions about climate crisis from
      hand-wringing hopelessness to engaged, hands-on problem solving, bringing
      together the considerable creative and transformative resources of the
      Silicon Valley community. Our efforts are nonpartisan and support the
      transition of our state and nation to an energy platform that is renewable
      and sustainable.


      Job Description:
      The Project Manager will provide key support for our activities, including
      event planning and execution; and developing and maintaining ongoing
      relationships between the project and its network. The Project Manager will
      also work with executive staff and advisory board members in developing our
      programs, including the maintenance of our website and the review of grant

      � Managing office including answering phones, maintaining equipment and
      office supplies, managing incoming/outgoing mail, email, and corporate
      � Managing CRM database (Salesforce.com) and website
      � Managing one assistant.
      � Scheduling meetings, conference calls and some travel arrangements.
      � Managing calendar of events.
      � Collaborating on planning and executing events.
      � Maintaining literature, clipping files on articles relevant to The Project
      and monitoring current events and news media for relevant topics.
      � Assisting staff in reviewing grant proposals.

      The ideal candidate for this position will offer a background in
      communications, business administration, or a broad liberal arts background.
      Essential qualities:

      � Strong verbal and written communications skills.
      � Bachelors degree, and preferably a Masters degree in a relevant field
      (Journalism, Public Administration, Business Administration).
      � Strong interest in issues relevant to The Project mission, and an
      understanding of nonprofit work.
      � Self-directed, able to multi-task, and able to manage complex issues to
