      Job Description:

      Founded in 1984, Resources for Community Development (RCD) is a regional
      nonprofit housing developer working throughout Alameda,
      Contra Costa and Solano Counties.  It is our mission to create and preserve
      affordable housing for people with the fewest options, building communities
      and enriching lives.

      RCD’s portfolio consists of over 1000 affordable housing units in 12 cities
      and 3 counties throughout the East Bay Area.  RCD is currently involved in
      several exciting major projects and has several hundred units in
      predevelopment.  RCD builds new and acquires and rehabs housing for
      low-income families, seniors, and households with special needs.  The
      corporation is governed by a twelve-member Board of Directors and is funded
      primarily through developer fees, foundation grants and government
      contracts.

      Major Job Responsibilities and Duties

      The Manager of Administrative Services will be supervised by RCD’s Director
      of Operations and will supervise the Administrative Assistant.  Major
      responsibilities will include a wide range of administrative activities
      relating to the smooth functioning of a busy, 20 + person office.  When
      needed additional responsibility may include the supervision of other
      administrative staff to assist primarily in the area of Major
      Responsibilities and Duties.  Specific areas of responsibilities include
      (but are not limited to):

      I.                 Work with the departments to oversee administrative projects as
      necessary, including but not limited to: loan document filing, organization
      of off-site storage, assembling of Housing Development applications,
      coordinating large, in-house mailings

      II.                 Coordinate RCD special events, including seasonal staff parties,
      Goundbreaking and Grand Opening Ceremonies, and RCD’s
      22nd Anniversary special event to be held on June 12, 2006:
      a.                 Produce and disseminate invitations, press releases and program materials
      b.                 Coordinate and supervise vendors
      c.                 Coordinate both the set-up and running of events

      III.                 IT and office systems
      a.                 Basic administration of RCD’s IT systems, including regularly scheduled
      server backups, maintaining equipment inventory, basic
      troubleshooting and coordinating service with IT consultants
      b.                 Main coordination and contact for major office equipment vendors

      IV.                 Assist Executive Director in arranging monthly Board meetings, including
      distribution of materials, preparation of minutes (requires  attendance at
      monthly night Board meeting), and coordination with individual Board
      members.

      V.                 Direct supervisory responsibility for Administrative Assistant who, in
      conjunction with the Manager of Administrative Services, is responsible for
      the daily administrative activities at RCD

      Other Job Responsibilities and Duties

      VI.                 Maintain organizational filing systems throughout the office.

      VII.                 Assist in the recruitment and training of potential volunteers, interns
      and project assistants.

      Perform other duties as required

      VIII.                 Perform other duties as required which may include assisting in:
      filing, word -processing, typing, faxing and photocopying, mail
      distribution, etc.
