The following advisory is sent to all members of San Francisco
Architectural Heritage who have provided their e-mail addresses.

The first in our series of 2005 Heritage Ballroom Lectures takes place
on Thursday, July 21. John King, urban design writer for the
"Chronicle" will present "Forward for Better or Worse: San Francisco
Architecture in the 21st Century," which he describes as "an
opinionated slideshow of 10 new buildings and what they say about where
San Francisco wants to go in the 21st century - or if it even knows."
As much of Mr. King's fine work in the "Chronicle," this promises to be
      insightful and informative.

The lecture is $5 for members/$10 for non-members. Please call
415-441-3000 to reserve a place, or e-mail info@.... You may
pay at the door. You can still sign up for the complete series of 5
lectures (one a month through November), at $20 for members/$40 for
      non-members, by calling 415-441-3000.

The tour door entrance at 2007 Franklin St. opens at 5:30; the lecture
begins at 6:00. There will be light refreshments.
