      Dear Friends of Service Learning:

      We wanted to remind you of the
      The 1st annual Human and Public Service Career
      Forum: Careers that Make a Difference that will be taking place Tuesday,

      April 16th from 11:30-3:00 PM in and around the Student Union. This
      program was funded by the CA Lottery and coordinated by the Career
      Center
      in partnership with the Center for Service Learning, the College of
      Social
      Science and the College of Social Work. This will be a great event to
      learn more about the non-profit/government
      sector. Students will have a chance to network with employers and learn

      more about volunteer, service learning, internship, and full-time
      opportunities.

      Schedule:

      11:30-2:30 Government/Non-Profit Agency Fair with 40+ agencies in

      attendance
      12:00-3:00 Panel presentations on:
      * Careers in Political Science
      * Careers in the Helping Professions ( geared towards
      students interested in Psychology, Social Work,
      Sociology, etc.)
      * Working for a Government/Non-profit agency
      12:00-1:00 Awards for Excellence in Service Learning Ceremony
      1:00-3:00 Learn more about Service Learning opportunities
      (poster
      session, talk to service-learning faculty and students, etc.)
