      Job Description:
      Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit trails & greenways organization,
      seeks a Manager of Trail Development for trail development in the Western
      Regional Office (in San Francisco) to support trail planning efforts by
      providing technical assistance to communities, in-depth project services,
      research, report writing, assisting with writing grant proposals, conducting
      public outreach & training workshops, and building relationships with local
      agencies, stakeholders, and allied organizations in recreation, alternative
      transportation, health and conservation fields.  Qualifications: A minimum
      of a four-year college degree in urban and regional planning, land use
      management, parks and
      recreation, alternative transportation or related field plus 3-5 years
      related experience.  Must have excellent writing & speaking skills and time
      & budget management; ability to build coalitions among diverse
      constituencies.  Salary DOE plus benefits.
