      Graduate Studies & Research

I am pleased to announce the availability of the
      2005-2006 Graduate Equity Fellowship Awards.

The purpose of the Graduate Equity Fellowship Program
is to encourage and assist students in their pursuit
and completion of a Master's degree and careers in
post-secondary education. This fellowship is only
available to graduate students with financial need.
They must demonstrate a minimum financial need of
      $1,000.

Under the Graduate Fellowship Program, awards of up to
$3,000 may be made to graduate students admitted and
enrolled in a Masters degree program at San Jos
State for the 2005-2006 academic year. (Note:
Credential ONLY candidates are not eligible.) Students
must be enrolled in both academic terms and complete a
minimum of six units in each. These twelve units must
appear on the Masters candidacy form for award of
      degree.

Applications are available at the Graduate Studies &
Research counter in the Student Services Center, 9th
and San Fernando Streets. The applications will be
reviewed by the Graduate Fellowship Program Committee,
and eligibility will be assessed on the basis of
financial need, academic standing and career goals.
The completed applications are due in Graduate Studies
& Research no later than Monday, June 20, 2005 at 4:30
pm. Any applications with missing documentation will
not be considered by the committee. Fellowship awards
will be announced by Monday, August 8, 2005 and are
      subject to funding.
