      ITE Student Outreach Meeting
      Students Speak Up on Single-Occupancy Hybrids in the HOV Lane

      Students from across the Bay Area are currently participating in a
      Student Paper Scholarship Award Contest with the topic “Should solo
      drivers in hybrid cars be allowed in the carpool lane?”  The contest
      winners and scholarship recipients will be honored at the upcoming
      ITE meeting on April 21, with a special presentation by the author of
      the winning paper.  You’ll also hear the latest on the Students in
      Transportation Engineering and Planning (STEP) Program and ITE’s
      new One-on-One Mentoring Program for Professionals. Don’t miss
      this chance to exchange ideas with and learn from the future of ITE
      … the students!

      Due Date: Candidate Statements Due by April 19, 2005

      Interested in getting more involved with the Institute of Transportation
      Engineers?  Then you might enjoy serving as the Secretary-Treasurer
      of ITE’s San Francisco Bay Area Section.  Please submit a one-page
      (or less) Candidate Statement (using Microsoft Word) no later than
      April 19, 2005.  Election ballots for qualified candidates will go out on
      May 20 and our next Secretary-Treasurer will be announced at the ITE
      luncheon on Thursday, June 23.

      ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT - JUNE 10, 2005

      ITE invites you to the 2005 Charity and Scholarship Golf Tournament.
      The tournament will be held at the Monarch Bay Golf Course in San
