You are cordially invited to attend this special United Nations World
Environment Day-Sponsored Conference. Carl Pope, Executive Director of the
Sierra Club, is the keynote speaker. The event will bring into focus the
critical relationship between the health of the environment and how we
build the largest things humans create -- cities.

World Environment Day, commemorated each year on June 5, is one of the
principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide
awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action.
San Francisco is host city for this year's  event. Mayors from all over the
world will be attending. The theme selected for 2005 is 'Green Cities' and
the slogan is 'Plan for the Planet!'
