      CALIFORNIA STATE SENATOR TOM TORLAKSON (D-Antioch) will present an informal
      seminar at 12:00 noon, Friday, February 22, 2002, at the Goldman School of
      Public Policy, 2607 Hearst Avenue in Berkeley.

      Sen. Torlakson will discuss "California's Policy Strategies for Affordable
      Housing," focusing on pending legislative proposals and potential means
      toward expanding housing opportunities.

      Among his many assignments in Sacramento, Sen. Torlakson chairs the
      Senate's Local Government Committee and the Select Committee on Bay Area
      Infrastructure.
