Subject: Open Assist RTIS Program Coordinator PositionMTC has an open position for a Regional Transit Information System (RTIS) Program Coordinator in our Traveler Coordination and Information (TCI) Section. Under general supervision of a Sr Program Coordinator and support to the Project Manager, work as a member of a project team responsible for operating the SF Bay Area's RTIS. The 3 main components of the RTIS are the regional transit database that contains comprehensive, current service data for the region's transit providers, a regional transit trip planning system, and a transit information website (www.transit.511.org).

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) was created by the state Legislature in 1970 to provide transportation planning for the 9-county San Francisco Bay Area, functions as the transportation-planning agency for the region. MTC administers federal moneys, as well as state and regional funds, overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of the region�s transportation system.
ASSISTANT RTIS PROJECT MANAGER
for Traveler Coordination & Information Section
Salary: DOQ, up to $90,742.34/Yr Fully paid health benefits, dental, vision, PERS retirement, life, & disability. Up to 38 days paid leave, in 1st yr of service.
Work as a member of a project team responsible for operating the San Francisco Bay Area�s Regional Transit Information System (RTIS). The three main components of the RTIS are the regional transit database that contains comprehensive, current service data for the region�s transit providers, a regional transit trip planning system, and a transit information website (www.transit.511.org). Responsibilities include coordination with the region�s transit agencies on data updates and data transfer upgrades, transit operator expansion for the trip planning system, completion of interagency agreements, assistance with upcoming contract procurements, management of 511 Transit website operations and marketing, management of the network and communications system, contract and license agreement management, and overall system monitoring and maintenance.
