Job Title: Fiscal and Policy Analyst
Organization: Mayor's Office of Public Policy and Finance
Location: San Francisco
Salary: 60,000 - 80,000
Description: Review and analyze annual budget submissions of city
departments; prepare and present policy and budget recommendations;
department spending and hiring over the
course of the fiscal year; and act as key contact for budget, policy and
program matters between the Mayor's Office and city departments, Board of
Supervisors staff, community organizations, labor representatives, and
residents. This position reports to the Mayor's Budget Director.
Strong analytical, writing and verbal skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and with a variety of individuals,
including city department heads, legislative staff and community groups.
Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Bachelor's
Master's degree in public policy, public or business administration or
finance. Experience in public finance and/or budgeting. Familiarity with
Francisco; resident preferred.
