      JOB DESCRIPTION: Core Development Services is interviewing entry-level Zoning Managers.  This is a full-time employee position.  Jobs are available both in the San Francisco Bay area and southern California.  You do NOT need previous experience in the wireless telecommunications industry.  In fact, ideal candidates are those who previously worked as planners in the planning departments of California cities and counties.  Candidates will not be relocated to northern or southern California.  As such, local candidates only.


      •Analyze local zoning ordinances and interface with city/county planners toward making zoning/design recommendations on individual wireless facilities.

      •Review zoning drawings prior to submittal for compliance with public agencies and client requirements.

      •Prepare land use entitlement applications, including all city submittal requirements.

      •Present application to zoning boards, planning commissions, city councils, and county boards of supervisors as needed.

      •Complete Zoning Ordinance Reviews.


      •A 4-year degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Urban Planning

      •Previous work experience at a local jurisdiction is preferred but not required.  Ideal candidates would have processed wireless land use applications while working at a city or county (e.g. “the other side of the counter”)

      •Ability to provide quality audits for project and site specific documentation

      •Ability to read and comprehend legal documents such as legal descriptions, surveys, architecture drawings, zoning codes, specific plans, etc.
