StreetLight Data, a geospatial data analytics start-up, is seeking a contractor for a short-term engagement. Job Description The contractor will be working alongside StreetLight personnel on this project, which is critical in the development of StreetLight Dataâ€™s product suite. The contractorâ€™s main responsibility will be to perform a series of tasks using various GIS software programs and tools. Specifically, the contractor will be helping turn points into custom polygons based on a rubric. The contractor will report to the Senior Director of Sales & Customer Engagement. Qualifications: â€¢ Basic knowledge of geospatial information system (GIS) software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth. â€¢ Experience working with shapefile or other geospatial files. â€¢ Ability to work independently and self-manage, but willing to seek assistance when needed. â€¢ Positive attitude The position will require 10 - 20 hours per week. The contractor can be based in StreetLightâ€™s office in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco or work remotely. If working remotely, high-speed internet connection is required.
