      StreetLight Data, a geospatial data analytics start-up, is seeking a contractor for a short-term engagement. Job Description The contractor will be working alongside StreetLight personnel on this project, which is critical in the development of StreetLight Data’s product suite. The contractor’s main responsibility will be to perform a series of tasks using various GIS software programs and tools. Specifically, the contractor will be helping turn points into custom polygons based on a rubric. The contractor will report to the Senior Director of Sales & Customer Engagement. Qualifications: • Basic knowledge of geospatial information system (GIS) software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth. • Experience working with shapefile or other geospatial files. • Ability to work independently and self-manage, but willing to seek assistance when needed. • Positive attitude The position will require 10 - 20 hours per week. The contractor can be based in StreetLight’s office in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco or work remotely. If working remotely, high-speed internet connection is required.
