      The current vacancy is in the Planning Department. This position will
      be responsible to both directly prepare and manage the preparation of
      environmental documents in compliance with CEQA and/or NEPA for public
      projects. A successful candidate should have at least two years of
      experience preparing CEQA documents (and understanding of analytic
      principals used in the preparation of CEQA documents, including
      topical areas such as traffic analyses, noise impact studies and
      historic and archeology reports) and familiarity of applicable
      regional, state and federal environmental policies and guidelines
      including the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and the State
      and Regional (Bay Area) Air Quality Standards.

      EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS Training and experience equivalent to graduation
      from an accredited college or university with a major in city and
      regional planning, architecture, engineering, social science or
      related field;

      Three years of professional planning experience. A Master's degree in
      city and regional planning may be substituted for two years of the
      required experience. A Master's degree in a closely related field may
      be substituted for one year of the required experience.
