Mt. Loretto, Wolfe's Pond, Great Kills
      Ed & Zach Johnson

Northern gannets offshore, but within binocular range at all 3
      localities

      Mt. Loretto:

      Wilson's snipe (3)
      Tree swallow
      Green-winged teal
plus about a dozen or so of the usual suspects
      A few peepers calling
      Cooper's hawk over Resurrection Cemetery

Went to Lemon Creek to look for the orange-crown, but the place was
packed with kids, and not a single sparrow or songbird in sight.

      Wolfe's Pond:

      Oystercatcher (2)
Good collection of waterfowl on pond:

      American wigeon
      Greater & Lesser scaup
      Common & Red-breasted merganser
      Ring-necked duck
      Northern shoveler
      American coot
2 pairs of mute swans on nests
      Fish crow

      Great Kills Park:

      The usual waterfowl offshore, plus:
      Oystercatcher (5)
      Green-winged teal (1)
      Tree swallow
      Dunlin (1)
      Killdeer
      Boat-tailed grackle (1)
Something chased all the birds away from the feeders just as we got
there, so nothing to report from that spot.
