Here is your opportunity to pepper a distinguished vegan nutrition expert with questions. Jack Norris RD will be speaking at the Opera Plaza Community Room on Wed. July 11 at 6 pm. That's at 601 Van Ness, San Francisco.

Important issues and questions about vegan nutrition call for explanation and clarification. Here we will be able to seek resolution. For example, a starch-based vegan diet versus a low-carb vegan diet and the youth gene.

On Wednesday, July 11 at 6 pm, at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco, Jack Norris, MS RD, will speak. His presentation is entitled: "Vegan Nutrition: The Science" After his talk, there will be ample opportunity for questions.
Jack Norris is a Registered Dietitian and President and co-founder of Vegan Outreach. Vegan Outreach produces Why Vegan and other booklets and their Adopt a College program hands booklets to over 750,000 students every semester. In 2005, Jack was elected to the Animal Rights Hall of Fame.

Along with Ginny Messina, MS RD, Jack has written the bookVegan For Life: Everything You Need to Know to Be Healthy and Fit on a Plant-Based Diet.

Jack writes a nutrition blog at JackNorrisRD.com. He is the author of Vitamin B12: Are You Getting It? and maintains VeganHealth.org. Jack earned a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Life University (Marietta, GA) in 2000 and finished his dietetic internship at Georgia State University in 2001.

Before Jack's talk, an all-you-can-eat vegan dinner will be served, prepared by another nutritionist, Patricia Allen Koot, NC. Patricia designs her dinners with careful attention to detail. Important micronutrients are considered, with a focus on dinner choices that are alkalinizing and immunity building.

The dinner is all you can eat, as long as the food lasts. Bring a container and take some home with you.

A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the all you can eat dinner. The Nutritionist donates her time. Funds received go toward facility rental costs, food, transport and related items.

It all happens this Wed., July 11 at 6 pm, at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine for the event.
