Here is the menu for the Opera Plaza vegan dinner this Wed. evening Dec. 7 at 6 pm:

      'Tis the Season Salad

      Roasted Red Pepper Bean Dip

Crudites Assortment featuring heirloom marinated baby reds

Slow Cooked Cabbage with Cranberries & Pecan

Almond Baked Tofu with Seasonal Veggies

Germinated Brown Rice & Sprouted Bean Pilaf

      Carob & Plum Dessert

      Herbal Tea and Cranberry/Apple Beverages

This dinner is totally vegan and totally health supporting, with no eggs, dairy or honey and prepared without oil or added sugars. It is designed by a certified Nutrition Consultant, Patricia Allen Koot, NC. The dinner is all you can eat, as long as the food lasts. Be sure to RSVP so the chef knows how much to prepare.

After dinner, stay for a special presentation by Dr. Michael Klaper entitled, "Digestion Made Easy" which will be shared via DVD, courtesy of Elizabeth Bechtold. In this extraordinary presentation by one of America's foremost authorities on nutrition and health, Digestion Made Easy takes you on a journey of understanding through your digestive system to meet the amazing organs that turn your food into — YOU! Through this entertaining, illustrated lecture you will learn how digestion and absorption work, how to keep digestion functioning optimally, and how to avoid and/or heal common diseases like acid reflux, constipation and diverticulosis. Digestion Made Easy makes a complicated subject easy and fun to understand, and shows you what foods to eat to keep your digestive system — and you — healthy for a lifetime.

It all happens this Wed. the 7th at 6 pm at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine for the event.

A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the all you can eat vegan dinner and the presentation by Dr. Klaper. This is possible because the chef and other personnel volunteer their time. Funds go toward facility rental, food, transport and related costs.
