Subject: [SFVS] The Other Side of Veganism, PLUS Vegan Dinner, Wed. Oct. 5 at 6 pmThere are two sides to everything. This Wed. evening, Oct. 5 at 6 pm., at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco, we will explore the DOWN side of a vegan diet, the 'con's.' Among other items, we will look at a case study of an entire people group in India who are totally vegan but have a very high incidence of various diseases which, the study suggests, are in fact linked to their vegan diet. This is an important presentation you won't want to miss. This may be an exercise in myth-busting. But long-term health is on the line, and that is a high priority. Come prepared for documented presentation PLUS a very lively discussion. "But that's the other side of this life."
First, enjoy a sumptuous vegan dinner, courtesy of Patricia Allen Koot, NC, certified Nutrition Consultant. It is totally vegan and totally health supporting, made without eggs, dairy, honey, added oils or sugars. YET it is delicious! The dinner is all you can eat, as long as the good lasts, and take some home to enjoy for the rest of the week.
It all happens this Wed. evening at 6:00 pm, at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine for the event.
A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the all you can eat dinner AND the presentation. This is possible because the chef volunteers her time. Funds go toward facility rental, food, transport and related costs.
Be sure to stop by Patricia's vegan cooking demo Saturday afternoon at the World Veg Festival, and discover her secrets! Check the program for exact time and location.
