Garlic tomato salad, dilled cucumber, apple smoked white beans and more! This Wed. evening, June 15 at 6 pm, at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, SF, breeze into summer with this tasty Mediterranean style dinner menu:

      Leafy Dinner Salad

      Dilled Chopped Fresh Cucumber

      Garlic Tomato Salad

      Crudite Platter

      Greek Hummus with Flat Bread

Apple Smoked White Beans & Kale

Summer Vegetables with Creamy Herb Sauce

      Brown Rice Trio

Mixed Berry & Pineapple Fruit Cup

      Fruit Bars

Fresh SummerAde and Concord Grape with Kava Beverage

This summery dinner is the creation of Patricia Allen Koot, NC, certified Nutrition Consultant. Patricia has planned the meal with emphasis on nutrition. All ingredients are health-supporting. It is good for the digestion, and good for overall wellness. AND delicious! The dinner is all you can eat, buffet style, as long as the food lasts. Bring containers, take some home afterwards. Just be sure to arrive on time, and RSVP so the chef knows how much food to prepare.

After dinner, stay for a presentation of vital interest to vegans. The topic is entitled, WHAT'S THE HEALTHIEST DIET? To begin the program, two medical giants, Dr. John McDougall and Dr. Joel Fuhrman, discuss and debate this question on a 12 minute video clip. Then discussion ensues, from a certified nutrition consultant. Also, research articles raising surprisiing concerns about a grain diet will be shared and discussed.

Come prepared to get answers! What is the healthiest vegan diet? Find out, this Wed. evening at 6 pm.

It all happens at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine. That's this Wed., the 15th at 6 pm.

A fifteen dollar requested minimum donation covers the all you can eat vegan dinner AND the presentation about the bet vegan diet. The chef volunteers her time. Funds go toward facility rental, food, transport and related costs.

Enjoy the good life! Fine food, good company, and stimulating discussion. Savor it this week at Opera Plaza.
