      MAYUR University is the first university to launch a degree on the benefits and ethics of Vegetarian Living. The degree is a fast track two year programme and will also offer opportunities for students to interact with private enterprises in Vegetarian food, farming and restaurant related industries so that those who wish may be able to pursue a career with a lifestyle of their choice.

      The duration of the course is 2 years and will include modules such as:

      •Ethical treatment of animals

      •Spiritual and religious aspects of Vegetarianism

      •Vegetarian Nutrition

      •Vegetarian cuisine (European, Mediterranean and Indian)

      •Health benefits and dangers of Vegetarian and non vegetarian diets

      •Ecology and vegetarianism

      •Medicinal uses of plants and herbs

      •Organic Vegetable farms

      Faculty includes doctors, nutritionists, yoga teachers and those deeply involved in vegetarian and Vedic cultures.  There will be inputs from well known vegetarian organizations, farms and businesses.

      Minimum entry qualifications: A levels

      Mature students welcome (on merit)
      No upper age limit

      Fee per annum. £6000

      Admission Interviews:

      All applicants may be called for an interview in the 1st week of March at our premises in central London, to know their objectives in doing the programme, any special interests they have and if the course is suitable for them.  Applications will be accepted and interview calls sent out by 15th February 2011.
