Beyond Health: The Case For Veganism, and Vegan Organic Dinner Wed. Oct. 6
- There is more to veganism than health: far more. Yet so often, well-publicized lifestyle modification programs which include a vegan diet, focus on health as a motivator to make the change.
But veganism at its core is altruistic. It is beyond health concerns. The REAL reasons for a vegan lifestyle will be discussed this Wednesday evening at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco.
But first, enjoy a FABULOUS vegan dinner handcrafted by the creator of vegan lasagnas at the World Veg Festival, Patricia Allen Koot, NC. If you had the opportunity to sample Patricia's vegan lasagnas on Sunday, you know how delicious her creations are.
At 6 pm this Wednesday, Oct. 6, enjoy more of Patricia's cooking. Savor an entire meal, totally vegan, totally health supporting, and prepared without oil or added sugars. AND, it is ALL YOU CAN EAT! Look for her menu update on Tuesday. Stay after dinner for the presentation on vegan altruism.
Fifteen dollar minimum donation covers the all you can eat dinner AND the presentation on veganism. The donation helps cover meet costs of space rental, food materials, transport etc. The chef volunteers her time. This is an outstanding value here in the Bay Area.
And, enjoy the ambience of a premier San Francisco location, in the civic and cultural center of San Francisco.
To add to your dining pleasure, experience a brilliant performance by San Francisco classical musician and recording artist John D. Torre on the baroque guitar.
