Dr. Will Tuttle, best-selling author and internationally-acclaimed authority on vegetarianism, will give a presentation on vegetarian health at the Rohnert Park Public Library on Tuesday, June 15 at 6 pm.
Dr. Tuttle's presentation will address the role of vegetarian food choices in weight reduction and in reducing stress. The benefits of a vegetarian diet in helping reduce body fat and promoting heart health, are well know. Dr. Tuttle will share not only the medical evidence, but practical food choices and menu suggestions to help make it work.
The benefits do not stop there. Applying principles from his best-selling book, The World Peace Diet, Dr. Tuttle will discuss how going to a vegetarian diet does more than enhance physical health. He will show how such a step promotes inner peace, reduces the impact of stressors and heightens mental acuity. And he will explain the amazing link between vegetarianism and world peace.
After the presentation, Dr. Tuttle will hold a book-signing. He will have copies of his book available for purchase, along with audio CDs of his accomplished piano artistry, featuring music to lift the mind and the spirit.
Dr. Tuttle's wife, Madeleine, a native of Switzerland, is a visionary artist specializing in both water color and the Sumiye brush painting technique. She will also have a showing of her original art work featuring extraordinarily lifelike paintings of various animals.
Madelaine is the author of a practical vegetarian cookbook as well as a second cookbook to be published in the Fall. She will be available to share real-life tips on how to make a healthy vegetarian diet work for families.
There is no admission charge. Donations are appreciated to help cover travel expenses for the Tuttles. Don't miss this opportunity to meet and benefit from a world-class couple, and acquire an autographed copy of Dr. Tuttle's best-selling book.
Vegetarian sandwiches, finger foods and refreshments will be served.
