      FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!

SAN FRANCISCO CITY HALL STEPS (

      1 Dr Carlton B Goodlett Place SF)DEMONSTRATIONS

      Friday October 1

      @ 12 to 2PM AND 4 to 6 PM.

World Farm Animals Day (www.WFAD.org) is an annual INTERNATIONAL campaign by the same fine folks that sponsor the annual Meat Out Campaigns. see the other events happening internationally at http://www.wfad.org/actioncenter/wevents.htm .

This year the campaign is reflecting on this election year and its focus on our legislators. Making them more aware, the campaign is asking them to sign "proclamations" http://www.wfad.org/images/scrollTR.gif.

      (view the proclamation here)

Likewise the general public will also be made aware with banners, posters, leafletting, Plasma screen Body TV, showing cruelty footage, bullhorn, props including a life-size veal crate. A focus on each Animal Rights issue that farmed animals face (i.e. foie gras (SB 1520) , downers, veal, egg and chickens, circus and more) will be featured throughout the day.

Speakers will be on hand (to be determined).

      City approval has been obtained
