      Dear Fellow Vegetarians,

Join us Sunday 9/22 in Emeryville for a vegetarian potluck and a soul-nurturing lineup of classes. The vegetarian potluck is from 5-6pm, immediately after a by-donation community ayurveda sangha entitled "Reclaiming Mental Health with Ayurveda."  You can come for any of the following four offerings:

      8-9am: AtmaBodha Yoga Class (Free)
10am - 1pm: Ayurveda Fundamentals Class ($45, homemade delcious vegetarian lunch included)

1-2pm: "Meet and Greet" with the Founder and Acharya (head teacher) of Vedika Global (Free)

2-5pm: Ayurveda Community Sangha and Vegetarian Potluck: The Sangha is entitled "Reclaiming Mental Health with Ayurveda" and includes a cooking demo and tasty samples for all! Followed by a vegetarian potluck (Sangha & Potluck are by-donation)
Location is Vedika Global, 5950 Doyle Street in Emeryville. Online details: http://www.vedikaglobal.org/ or www.meetup.com/AyurvedaSangha
Here is the description of the community Sangha (2-5pm) and Vegetarian Potluck (5-6pm)

      Reclaiming Mental Health with Ayurveda:
Learn about Ayurveda psychology for creating enduring and positive mental health states from Vedika’s Founder and Head Teacher, Acharya Shunya. Learn how you can use Ayurvedic principles and practices to quickly edit your negative thoughts, induce positive feelings, and make nourishing food choices. Over time, these practices help to purify the mind and achieve the healing and mental well-being you desire.
Vedika Global’s visiting faculty, Dr. Gunvant Yeola, Ph.D. (Ayu) will join Acharya Shunya in discussing how simple changes in our food choices and lifestyle can help us prevent Pitta Dosha from going out of balance in the Fall season, known as Sharad Ritu.
Vedika's Chef Sanjai will demonstrate how to make 2 cooling vegetarian recipes complete with samples for all, Rose Sherbat and a Rose Petal Jam (also known as Gulkand). Both of these recipes, from home grown roses, reinvigorate our body, senses, and mind when consumed daily as a delicious Ayurveda tonic.

Hope to see you there -- these are truly wonderful community events and always a treat! And the food at the vegetarian potluck (and the samples during the vegetarian cooking demo in the community sangha are delicious). Any questions, feel free to email me directly.

      Blessings,
      Michael
