Enjoy delicious vegan chick pea & sweet potato a la king, fruits of the forest cake and much more, this Wed. July 17 at 6 pm at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco.

It is all vegan and all health-supporting, with no eggs, dairy, honey, oil or added sugars. But the menu only tells part of the story. The dinner is prepared by a certified Nutrition Consultant, Patricia Allen Koot, NE, NC. Patricia includes ingredients which provide important micronutrients. This is more than a vegan dinner. It is carefully planned to provide key nutrients to help rejuvenate and cope with the stresses of urban living.

And, it is all you can eat. Bring a container and take some home with you.

After dinner, Becky Fenson and Eileen Harrington Eileen and Becky will give a talk on the Bay Area Walk for Farm Animals, Farm Sanctuary and the newly formed Northern California Animal Advocates Coalition.

Becky Fenson and Eileen Harrington are Co-Coordinators for the 2013 San Francisco Bay Area's Walk for Farm Animals. This event raises awareness of the plight of farm animals in America as well as raises money for Farm Sanctuary. Farm Sanctuary operates three sanctuaries and runs the largest farm-animal rescue and refuge network across North America. Throughout the years, more than 8,000 animals have called Farm Sanctuary home, and 3000 have found a safe and loving placement in new homes. The animals who come to the three sanctuaries have been rescued from factory farms, stockyards, natural disasters, and abuse and neglect cases. This year's Walk is at Fort Mason on October 5th.

Becky Fenson formerly worked at PETA as a Manager for 6 years. Becky currently volunteers with San Francisco Care and Control and Direct Action Everywhere. She is an avid swimmer and advocates a healthy vegan lifestyle for active and athletic people. Becky lives with her husband Nani and her three senior dogs Roman, Darla and Annie.

Eileen Harrington is also co-leader of Northern Animal Advocates Coalition, Sonoma County Animal Sanctuary and is a member of East Bay Animal Rights and Advocates. She is owner and principal of Harrington Consulting who works with small nonprofits and businesses in Northern California. Eileen has three furry children--Grania, a lab-border collie mix and two formerly feral cats, Blueie and Tipper.

Enjoy the dinner, and the presentation, at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine for the event.

A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the all you can eat vegan dinner plus the presentation. The Nutritionist and the presenters are donating their time. Funds go toward facility rental, food, transport and other costs.
