Inntroducing the (Vegan) Natural Hygiene Diet, Wed. May 8 at 6 pm
- There is vegan, there is raw--and there is the natural hygiene diet. What is it? Find out, this Wed. coming Wed. evening, May 8 at 6 pm, at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco.
Here is a description of the Natural Hygiene Diet:
"Natural Hygiene stands apart from other vegetarian, flexitarian, vegan, and natural food diets in that it recommends that you eat a large portion of your diet uncooked, use a minimum of spices, salt, and other stimulants, and center your diet around fruits and vegetables, seeds and nuts. The dietary recommendations emphasize foods in their natural state to maximize the full symphony of nature's fragile micronutrients and phytochemicals."
The diet will be presented and explained live and in person by a knowledgeable and experienced advocate from San Francisco. Dr. John Bardaro, Professor Emeritus at SF City College, has introduced tens of thousands of students to the Natural Hygiene Diet.
On the phone, Dr. Bardaro told me that the presenation will include everything a person needs for a healthy life, and he assured me that it will be entertaining as well.
Before his lecture, enjoy a dinner showcasing the Natural Hygiene Diet. Prepared by a certified Nutrition Consultant, Patricia Allen Koot, NE, NC, this dinner will give you a first-hand experience of how healthy AND delicious the hygiene diet can be. ALL vegan, ALL heath-supporting, made without eggs, dairy, honey, oil or added sugars.
And the dinner is all you can eat. Bring a container and take some home with you. Do RSVP so Patricia can plan how much food to bring.
Location is the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine for the event.
A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the all you can eat dinner plus the lecture by Professor Bardaro. Both the Nutritionist and the Professor are donating their time. Funds go toward facility rental, food, transport and other costs.
