      Andronico's Market plays an important role in promoting humane business
      practices. Unfortunately, this San Francisco Bay Area grocery chain
      still sells eggs from chickens confined in battery cages.

      East Bay Animal Advocates documented shocking conditions at Andronico's
      battery cage egg supplier – NuCal Foods, Inc. The group’s undercover
      footage shows hens housed in wire enclosures so small that they are
      unable to lift even a single wing. Several retailers, including Whole
      Foods Market and Wild Oats Natural Marketplace, have already adopted
      policies to carry only cage-free eggs.

      In order to advance the company’s commitment to excellence, we are
      asking Andronico's to adopt a cage-free egg policy. To raise the
      public’s awareness about the inhumane treatment of hens raised for
      eggs, East Bay Animal Advocates on a weekly-basis is distributing
      informative literature to Andronico's shoppers. Event information for
