This article by Bittman in the NY Times today points out some major flaws in the Stanford study that determined organic foods are not more nutritious than conventional foods. Apparently the study focused on a few nutrients and not the overall health affects of organic or conventional foods. The study did not take into account exposure to pesticides or antibiotic resistant bacteria and excluded many nutrients that were have been found in previous studies to be higher in organic foods. It's unfortunate that some bad research has received so much media attention.
