Sebastian Zösch, CEO of the German Vegetarian Union (VEBU), will speak about "Strategic Considerations in Promoting the Vegetarian Idea" this Wed. evening, Oct. 3 at 6 pm, at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. His talk is going to explore the best practices on how to work effectively for the vegetarian movement and communicate the message strategically.

He speaks from experience. Herr Zösch promotes a plant-based lifestyle through his frequent media appearances. He received six international media awards for his role in charge of marketing the "cannibal restaurants" campaign, brought the "Vegan pledge" and the "Veggieday" campaign to Germany and initiated the "VeggieWorld", one of Europe`s largest fairs for a vegetarian and vegan lifestyle. Aiming at large caterers he initiated the government-funded GV-nachhaltig project, which amongst other achievements persuaded Berlin`s universities to offer a daily vegan option. Through political lobbying in Brussels and Berlin Sebastian has promoted the EU-wide legal definition and protection of the terms "vegetarian" and "vegan".

First, enjoy a special dinner in honor of World Vegetarian Day. Prepared with skill by a certified Nutrition Consultant, the dinner focuses on healthy vegan nutrition. This is not vegan fast food. It is a different emphasis than what one might find in a vegan restaurant. The focus is nutritional excellence. The menu below doesn't begin to explain the special touches Patricia brings to this dinner. She explains those at the time of the dinner.

      Here is the menu:

      Fall Lettuces Salad
      White Bean Hummus
      Crudites Assortment
      Southwestern Chickpeas
      Mushroom & Veggie Medley
      Quinoa Pilaf
      Fruit Bars
Autumn Punch and Herbal Tea Beverages

The celebration dinner is all vegan and totally health-supporting, made without oils or added sugars. And, it is all you can eat, as long as the food lasts.

RSVP to reserve a place. Call 888-234-1361 or email to: rsvp@...

A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the all you can eat vegan banquet AND the presentation on vegetarianism in America.

Also, come see Patricia demonstrate how to make quick vegan meals, at the World Vegetarian Festival on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 1 pm.

Then, next week, on Wed. Oct. 10 at 6 pm, take in an important presentation by Dr. Steve Blake. Dr. Blake comes to us from Hawaii. His topic will be: Healthy Hearts, Fats and Cholesterol: Learn How to NOT Have a Heart Attack. Find out how to reverse arterial blockage, blood fats and how to control them, which foods help hearts and which ones hurt hearts, and much, much more. RSVP today to reserve a place, it should be a full house.

Location for both events is the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine for the event.

So remember, this Wed. evening, Oct. 3 at 6 pm, you have the rare opportunity to meet and listen to one of the leaders in the European vegetarian movement, and find out wats then next Wed., Oct. 10, see Dr. Steve Blake live, speaking about Healthy Hearts.

Once again, RSVP to 888-234-1361 or email to: rsvp@...
