We have just received word about a special speaker who is in San Francisco for the World Vegetarian Festival. He will be sharing with us at Opera Plaza on Wed. Oct. 3 at 6 pm. His name is Sebastian Zösch.

Sebastian Zösch (32) is CEO of the German Vegetarian Union (VEBU) and promotes a plant-based lifestyle through his frequent media appearances. Sebastian received six international media awards for his role in charge of marketing the "cannibal restaurants"
campaign, brought the "Vegan pledge" and the "Veggieday" campaign to Germany and initiated the "VeggieWorld", one of Europe`s largest fairs for a vegetarian and vegan lifestyle.

He is co-author of the German versions of Jonathan Safran Foer`s Eating Animals and of Kath Clements` Vegan. To make the vegan lifestyle healthier and more attractive Sebastian Zösch "invented" the first toothpaste fortified with vitamin B-12 , which is sold internationally.

Aiming at large caterers he initiated the government-funded GV-nachhaltig project, which amongst other achievements persuaded Berlin`s universities to offer a daily vegan option.

Through political lobbying in Brussels and Berlin Sebastian has promoted the EU-wide legal definition and protection of the terms "vegetarian" and "vegan".

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear and personally meet this leader in the German vegetarian movement. And to enjoy the experience in conjunction with a fabulous vegan dinner.

Enjoy a wonderful celebration vegan dinner, house-made by a certified Nutrition Consultant. Patricia Allen Koot, NC, has developed an outstanding reputation throughout the Bay Area. She will go all out to present a true feast in honor of this important event. The banquet is all vegan and totally health-supporting, made without oils or added sugars. And, it is all you can eat, as long as the food lasts.

RSVP to reserve a place. Call 888-234-1361 or email to: rsvp@...

A fifteen dollar requested donation covers the all you can eat vegan banquet AND the presentation on vegetarianism in America.

That's Weds., Oct. 3, at 6 pm at the Opera Plaza Community Room, 601 Van Ness, San Francisco. Take the elevator to the first floor, then security will key you down to the mezzanine for the event.

Also, come see Patricia demonstrate how to make quick vegan meals, at the World Vegetarian Festival on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 1 pm.
