Hello i am happy to invite you to join Katrina Blair from Durango, Co-(Author wild life recipes book) to explore some wonderful edible plants available around bay area. she will lead us to golden gate park introducing some edible plants. Followed by hike we will meet at Yoga Society of SF for eating more Greens potluck. Wild Edible Plant Hike with Katrina Blair

Join us for a two hour (approximately) hike through Golden Gate park
to learn the wild edible foods growing in the area. Be the master of
your own health by eating local wild and living foods from your
backyard. We will nibble along the way as we identify and learn how to
use the local abundance of San Francisco. Suggested donation $5-10. Trades are welcome.
Bio of Katrina Blair:
Katrina Blair began studying wild plants in her teens when she camped
out alone for a summer with the intention of eating primarily wild
foods. She later wrote "The Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants of the San
Juan Mountains" for her senior project at Colorado College where she
graduated with a Biology degree. In 1997 she completed a MA at John F.
Kennedy University in Orinda, CA in Holistic Health Education. She
founded Turtle Lake Refuge in 1998, a non profit, whose mission is to
celebrate the connection between personal health and wild lands.
Katrina also teaches sustainable living practice classes through John F
Kennedy University Orinda, CA, Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and
and San Juan College in Farmington, NM. She is the author of Local Wild
Life - Turtle Lake Refuge's Recipes for Living Deep."
