I was wondering who else here is part of Bay Area Vegetarians (sfbaveg)
I had recently joined that group, and apparently my views on health,
healing and my input on activism is just to radical for them, as well
as my gender expression, among other things.
I was banned from that group and chastised because I discussed raw
foods and the dangers of soy, which apparently the group owner/s didnt
They only allow people to post about things they agree with. I kept
everything within the realm of vegetarianism, even veganism.
They didnt like that I didnt always sign my posts with the same
name...as you know sometimes I post as John, Brother John, or Shekinah
Love, or sometimes BJ, or a mix of things....either way it is clear it
is me from the email header which does have my full name in it anyways.
Im someone who believes in the freedom of speech, and freedom from
censorship, and being able to express how you feel as long as youre
not attacking individuals, and putting them down, but rather
disagreeing with the idea, rather than the person. I guess Im too
*queer* for that group.
Has anyone else here experienced that? I was privately mailed by
someone else from that group who was censored for raw food posts as
well...Wheres the raw food representation!!!

I ask those of you here who are a part of their group to speak out and
dont let yourselves become silenced! Dont let their hypocricy take
down and divide our community!
