      Meet: Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center (200 Palm Canyon Drive, Borrego Springs, CA 92004)

      Explore Anza-Borrego Desert State Park’s significant yet little known military past. This class will introduce participants to remnants of the military experience dating from World War II that left a lasting impression on segments of the Park. Begin the day with a one-hour orientation at ABDSP Visitor Center. From there, an auto tour will visit military artifacts at Clark’s Dry Lake, Fault Wash, and Military Wash. Tour includes short hikes at each stop. 4WD required.

      Bring: Lunch, plenty of water, snacks, camera, sun protection, comfortable walking shoes, and notebook if desired

      Limited to 20 participants
