I've now seen four episodes (CTV in Canada runs it at 10:30pm on
Sunday nights) and it's really starting to find its feet.

I agree that the pilot was clunky and I thought that there were more
than a few rough moments in the second episode. But with episode 3 and
the party, and Stockard waving her knife, everything was starting to
come together in a good way.

I'm not sure I'm fussy on Jennifer Tilly who plays Crystal, but I like
the rest of the cast a lot. And I did wonder if it might not have been
funnier in the long run to have Ben and Naomi stay married, and us
never see her as she would always be off chained to a tree or on a
protest march or breaking into a nuclear facility somewhere, and have
the family take continual pot shots at her behind Ben's back.

All that aside I honestly thought that the fourth episode was the best
yet. I found the scenes revolving around Lydia, Stuart and the dog
hysterical. And the kids were off on a different and very funny
tangent of their own.

I'm really not a sit-com watcher (I may be the only person on the face
of the planet who has never seen a complete episode of Friends or
Seinfeld) but I'm liking this show more and more.
