CEDPA, a nonprofit int. org. is under contract with USAID to provide Technical Advisors in AIDS, Child Survival and Basic Education (TAACS) to USAID offices overseas and in Wash/DC. Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for govt. security cl. Failure to state US citizenship on the application will render you ineligible for consideration.
The Advisor will provide field support and technical assistance to the Africa and other Regional Bureaus and USAID offices; participate in and contribute to the annual planning for and development of the EGAT/ED Africa field services plan; provide technical assistance in the design and management of the Team’s acquisition and assistance portfolio; track various elements of the Team’s program, performance, and results; participate in office planning and budgeting exercises; maintain familiarity with current research and lessons learned on programs to improve basic education; and actively promote USAID’s core values of teamwork, empowerment and accountability, management for results and customer service. As part of Field Support team responsibilities, the Advisor will devote a majority of time to supporting regional and Mission activities in the Africa region during the first year of employment.. After the first year, based on internal decisions, field support responsibilities may or may not be expanded to include other regions in addition to the Africa region. The intent is to allow for strengthened coordination with USAID Regional Bureaus as well as strengthened field support capacity.
