ARS advocates for the involvement of all sectors in regional problem solving. In this spirit, the next National Forum on Regional Stewardship will address the theme, “Propelling the Regional Agenda: The Role of CEOs,” to spotlight the critical contribution of business leadership at the highest levels in strengthening metropolitan communities. The program will feature corporate CEOs from Austin, San Antonio and across the United States, who will discuss how they have worked to help secure the future of their regions through initiatives to attract and nurture a competitive workforce while promoting livability and mobility.
A primary goal of this forum is to arrive at strategies for fostering relationships between CEOs and other regional leaders by increasing the understanding of how CEOs cultivate regional stewardship. With this goal in mind, ARS encourages regions to bring “teams” to this Forum – teams that include CEOs as well as individuals who are involved in the day-to-day process of regional initiatives. By bringing both CEOs and other community members to the table, participants will learn Best Practices and Lessons Learned surrounding how regions are involving local CEOs, and how CEOs are initiating regional efforts.
The National Forums on Regional Stewardship are specifically designed to offer participants the chance to interact with one another. We have deliberately set aside time in the agenda for that purpose. Participants are asked to identify topics of interest for the Thursday evening cluster dinners as well as the Friday morning peer-to-peer sessions when they register. If any individual is interested in leading a cluster dinner or peer-to-peer session, please include that information when registering.
