Hillsborough County Wants to Know What Service You Would Reduce

Hillsborough County has added a new blog question to get online feedback on the County services residents think should be reduced. There is also a Matrix of Services that easily outlines the County services currently offered.

During the budget public hearings last year, County residents showed up in mass to voice their opinions. This year, County residents are just one click away from letting their voices be heard.

To find out details on the FY 11 budget, go to the County's Web page (www.hillsboroughcounty.org) and click the megaphone graphic to go straight to all things budget. Residents will even be able to watch the budget hearings and workshops live or prior meetings on demand.

All public comments, no matter through which form, will be sent to County management and budget staff and County Commissioners for consideration in developing the recommended budget. This recommended budget will be delivered to the County Commissioners from the County Administrator on June 3.

After that time, County Commissioners will discuss efficiencies and possible reductions until the September 23 Budget Public Hearing when the final FY 11 Budget will be adopted.

Hillsborough County is offering multiple social media opportunities for residents to be more engaged in the discussions concerning their county government:
