      Dear Colleagues,

The Globalization Research Center, Anthropology Club and Graduate Anthropology Club, and the Tampa Neighborhood Mobility Study group with help from the USF Collaborative are bringing Dr. Sue Hyatt (Temple) to speak on Thursday, April 15th at 7:00 pm. She will be presenting her lecture “Women's Grassroots Activism in a Neoliberal World” based on her research with poverty alleviating grassroots organizations in England and the United States.  Dr. Hyatt is well known for her work on poverty, housing, service-learning and neo-liberalism.  She recently co-edited (with Vincent Lyon-Callo (Western Michigan) a special issue on Anthropology and Political Engagement in Urban Anthropology.  If anyone is interested, I have electronic copies of some of her articles.  Contact me off list, please!

ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!!! Attached is the announcement for the USF GRC Lecture on Thursday April 15th at 7:00 pm in the Grace Allen Room on the 4th floor of the main library.  All are invited to attend the reception, BEFORE the talk at 6:00 pm, also in the Grace Allen Room.
