      The Southeast Evaluation Association, an affiliate of AEA, will hold its annual conference, "Empowerment Evaluation: Integrating Evaluation, Management, and Accountability," on  January 19-21, 2005 in Tallahassee, Florida. Dr. David Fetterman of Stanford University will be the keynote speaker and workshop presenter. We encourage you, your colleagues and students to join us - as attendees and/or presenters.

      CALL FOR PROPOSALS
      The conference will cover a broad array of program and policy areas at the national, state an local levels:
      - Policy reform and pilot studies
      - Criminal Justice / Juvenile Justice
      - Economic and Workforce Development
      - Education (Early Education, K-20, Lifelong Learning)
      - Environmental issues
      - Health and Human Services
      - Public Administration
      - Welfare Reform

      Proposals on other topics also are encouraged.
       
      Please email your proposal to Fran Berry, Conference Chair, at fberry@... with the following information:
      1.        Title and presenters (for program listing).
      2.        One-paragraph description of the presentation (for program listing) plus a 1-2 page synopsis, including the purpose, data source (population, sample, etc.), method, results, conclusions and date of completion.
      3.        Time needed for presentation (15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes).
      4.        Format preferred (paper, panel, roundtable, etc.).
      5.        Day/time preference, if any.
      6.        Equipment needed, if any.
      7.        Name of contact person, address, affiliation, Email address, and daytime phone and fax numbers.
      8.        Email addresses of all co-presenters.
       
      Deadline for submission:  Friday, November 12, 2004.

      Pre-Conference Workshop (January 19):
      The following fees apply if registration and payment is received by January 7, 2005

                                       $100 non-members
                                 $  25 students

      Conference: (January 20-21)
      The following fees apply if registration and payment is received by January 7, 2005
                                 $  85 SEA members
                                       $115 non-members
                                 $  25 students

      Late registration
      Please note: After January 7, 2005, late registration fees will apply to SEA members and non-members (not students). See attached brochure for details.

      SEA membership:  Annual membership is $30 ($10 for full-time students)
