Greetings unto the Populace of the Midlands, from Caitriona MacDhonnachaidh, Regional Seneschal and cheerleader :-)

Please make every effort to get to court at upcoming events, especially Crown and Crystal Ball.  Their (then) Majesties will be traveling about 500 miles each way to get to the region for these events.  A great many recommendations have been put to Them, and Court is 1) more fun for the audience if there are people trooping up to receive recognition 2) more fun for the recipient's because their friends share in their delight 3) more fun for people on the dais because that's what they are there to do :) and 4) Goes More Quickly when recipients Pop Up and get to the front.

      Please consider the following
Take a few moments to discuss court etiquette, especially with newer members, if it hasn't been done in awhile.  It is particularly handy when folks do not have to rid themselves of weaponry in order to respond to a summons from the dais.  Prudently purging pointy paraphernalia prior to the procession would be appreciated.
This might be a good time for people to discuss what the traditional method of handling this process (getting someone their award after the fact)  is for your group.

If someone needs to pick up an award after the court for an absent recipient, please check with the signet afterward.

If you want to make recommendations, please get those in as soon as possible.  Crown is in just over one month.  At least 1 month lead time needs to be given before an award can be made.
Thank you for all that you do!

      In Your Service,
      Caitriona, Regional Seneschal
