      Thanks for the reference on Margaret of Cobham. She is the one I was
      thinking of. When Rosalyn of Aberdeen did her rendition of this "hat",
      she
      did just very much what you are thinking of. There were about three
      layers
      of pleating that created a sort of honeycomb effect about the face. The
      back
      veiling was short, ending at about the shoulders. It is very pretty on.
      Unusual, but I go for that in headwear! I remember her telling me it was
      fairly easy to wear.
