- Perfume would be pretty easy too, though it takes a while to mellow.
Toss some herbs into nasty crappy vodka (I use the Vladimir brand).....I
pour half the vodka out, stuff in a handful of rosemary & a handful of
lavender (both dried), give it a good shake, and put in a tub in a closet
and fuhgettaboutit till I'm ready to decant. I think it takes a good
year to mellow, but you can decant early with a "do not open till next
I've also used fresh roses, but those you have to remove the translucent
petals each week and stuff more fresh in. It's a little more touchy, but
well worth it. I have 3 perfumes from last year that are *heavenly*.
